In 2007, Missions Education Fund, known as MEF, was inspired by God in our church and birthed in Sierra Leone to touch children’s lives through education. We help families alleviate unimaginable poverty through every dime that is collected.
The aim of MEF is to provide financial assistance to children from low-income families for their schooling, and through education, break the cycle of poverty.
The ministry was later set it up as a registered charity organization in 2017.
Nearly 115 mission children do not attend school.
An estimated 130 million of the world’s 15- to 24-year-olds cannot read or write.
There are 22 countries where more than half the population is illiterate; 15 are in Africa.
About 75 percent of children out of primary school in developing countries have mothers who did not go to school.
You can be the only Jesus these kids might ever know and enable these children who are unable to afford any type of education.
Our God is big and can multiply your dime like the loaves and fishes to reach and provide basic education to multitudes of children and show them how their God-given talents can be used to further help their communities in the name of Jesus.
